ESLai.com provides English Language Students with direct and unlimited access to multiple English as a Second Language eLearning and mLearning Applications (Apps).
The Apps are accessed on the SCENES pull-down MENU and also on Instant Messenger clients (AIM, Gtalk).
NOW AVAILABLE ON MOBILE WEB, ANDROID and AppUP (Windows).
Each SCENE is a simulation of a “real world” conversation.
There are no “right” responses. A User is encouraged to make decisions and then RESET the App and try out new answers to explore the range of possibilities that each encounter offers. Users can always RESET and try again, and again.
Users are encouraged to save their Chat Logs and review them with Teachers and other Students.
IDIOMS, DICTIONARY and CONTEXTUAL DEFINITIONS
Each App includes certain phrases and idioms that are unique to the SCENE simulation. Users can get real-time definitions and contextual descriptions within the App by typing “Define” and the word or phrase in question.
Phrase: It’s raining cats and dogs.
Dictionary example: DEFINE cats and dogs
The User will receive a contextual definition and then be returned to the interactive story.
